Heera Group UK

Heera Group UK was a popular bhangra music group that originated in the early 1980s. They scored several Punjabi hit songs through much of the decade. Arguably, Heera Group along with Alaap, DCS introduced Bhangra as we hear it today.〔(Heera Group's Best Songs )〕
==History==
Heera Group was founded in 1979 by lead singer Bhupinder Bhindi, Satwant Taak, Balbir Gill and Debbi. They made an album with Punjabi singer Narinder Biba, in which Bhindi Laltonwala sang a duet. J. Kumar joined the group which was then known as Quallander Group, changing its name to Heera Group. Palvinder Dhami joined the group after much encouragement from his friend Bhupinder Bhindi.
